Plan of Rewriting of Top Secret Picture
As more and more functions are added to Top Secret Picture, the code becomes more and more complicated. As the initial design doesn’t intend to include so many functions, and there’re still many features that users want to see on TSP, I’ve decided to rewrite the app.
Some of the current functions are only used by few people, I might not include them in the new app. Below is a list of the functions that I plan to implement in the new app,
1. Import/Export Pictures
2. View/Slideshow/Move/Delete Secret Pictures
3. Create/Delete/Rename Folder
4. Update/Backup Password
5. Backup/Restore/Clean Up/Wipe Out Data
6. Feedback/Help
7. Secure Share
8. Secret Shot
I’ll start to rewrite the app at the end of this Month (Nov 2010). Any suggestions are welcomed!

TSP, great app but allow to select multiple files at once.
also where is the add free version? I will pay but cant find it 😦
Please search for Top Secret Picture Pro for adds free version
The app force crashes and now I can’t log in and therefore my files are gone. HTC EVO
Does it happens every time you try to log in? or it only occurs recently? Which account are you using? first or second?
Please update to latest version and try again.
I made a few backups of my secret pis and had to reset my phone for another reason, when i reinstalled this app, i did a restore which put my pics back in the default folder. But when i tgry to view them, they dont show up. I can see the thumbnails, but the pics arent showing, not even when i try to export them to my sd card. It doesnt show up using my gallery photo viewer either.
Vee, you’ve probably used the wrong backups. If the backup is obsolete, the restoration won’t work. I’m currently working on improving the automatic backup service, to make it more robust to prevent phone reset, database crash and so on.
I had the same issue on my htc desire, now it always force close and i can’t view nor export back the data to the original folder. tried restarting phone and tried both account but same issue.
Please upgrade to the latest version. I can only test on a real Nexus One device, but I did test it on all versions of emulators, and they work fine.
After upgrading to the latest version, you might want to use the diagnose function to see if there’s any issues related to database crash.
Hello, After a restore caused by a reset from my phone. I can see my picture but when I open them they are all black? Can you please help me? Thanks in advance!
You’re using the latest version, right? When you do the restore? What does the restore verification say? does it report any bad records?
Also check your /sdcard/.ttmp folder, if the reset caused deletion of files under the folder, then TSP cannot recover those pictures back.
Thanks for the help!!!
I use the version 3.5.0
Where to see the restore verification?
When I do it, no message and my pictures are black but the size looks right?
In the .ttmp folder there are still files?
Thanks!
3.5.0 is the latest. When you do a restore. If nothing pops out, then you should see a message indicates “Restore failed”, otherwise, there will be a dialog pops out, asking you whether you want to continue or rollback.
It’s likely you chose the wrong backup file for restoration. Please select the one that is close to the time before you reset your phone.
ok I found what you tel me :
Restore Verification
He tell me that he found bad pictures?
option to roll back or continue
Is there a possibility to put back pictures?
Thanks++
If TSP finds bad records, it means you’re not using the correct backups. TSP will keep the most recent 10 backups. Please try to recall the time just before you reset your phone and select that backup.
If you cannot remember, just try them one by one, but don’t “continue” when you see the dialog, rollback and keep trying all the backups. If there’s one that doesn’t contain any backs, it’s likely to be the correct backup.
You’re welcome! and actually It’s my responsibility to make the usage more clear. I’m preparing for an FAQ for next release.
Hi,
This looks like what I’ve been looking for! And I’m glad you do not use Internet Access on the Pro version. I wonder what users are thinking when they hide a secret in an aplication that has full access to the Internet! Fascinating;-)
What kind of encryption algorithm does TSP use?
Are both the thumbnails and pictures encrypted? Saw a comment from someone claming that the thumbnails were visible?
BTW, will you be adding tagging of pictures and filtering based on tags in the next version?
It’s great idea. I’ll consider about it, but it won’t come in a short-time. I’m focusing on improving the current features.
Yes, both thumbnails and pictures are encrypted.
OK, I am the moron who forgot my password for TSP. I seem to recall when I installed it that there was no way to get the password emailed to me. Is there any way to recover it?
Sorry, there’s no way to recover the password. That’s why the email backup comes into picture.
Please understand that TSP is an off-line app, all data is saved at users’ devices.
